Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken (German National Anthem melody)

Video 1 Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken. Introduction, Performance, and Explanation. Right and left hand. No Chords and Melody

In the key of C, this stately melody moves between the first and fifth frets using a bar to play a C G/B and Am forms. The last phrase moves up to the 8th fret and then back down melodically to the first fret. So it’s a good challenge for both hands, but worth the practice. It is also the melody of the German national anthem written by Franz Haydn with lyrics by John Newton. No Chords and Melody.

Video 2 A Left hand perspective on Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken

A good challenge for your left hand and bar chord playing.  Those chords will take some practice. The last phrase moves up and down the neck, so you really have to have a plan to get your hand up to the 8th fret and then back down melodically to the first fret smoothly and "in time".  Muscle memory will kick in after you've practiced this phrase a few dozen times.
